The students of Takshshila Junior College have got a wide range of educational, social and cultural activities as part of their school life. The cultural programs are purely based on national integration and traditional Indian Culture. Independence day is celebrated with traditional dance, speeches and group songs. Sports day is celebrated on 14th of November every year. All religious festivals are celebrated, which includes Deepawali, Id, Guru Nanak Jayanti, Xmas,etc, in addition to independence day and Republic day, where sweets are distributed along with cultural programs. School lunch is held for the students on Maha Shivratri Day, with a hawan. Projects in various subjects are given to the children, two in each semester, which are then exhibited on the Exhibition day which is held on the 26th of January every year - Republic Day.

Educational Tours are conducted every year for the children between 20th December to the 1st of January every year during the winter vacations. Children are taken all around India in these tours. So far, the institute has taken the children on tours to Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Goa, Andaman and Nicobar, Gujarat, Delhi, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh.

Special Camps for students and teachers are conducted in a manner in which students and teachers reside in the school for 3 to 4 days where they interact in a friendly atmosphere with breakfast, lunch, dinner and tea prepared by the children in groups. Seminars on student - teacher relationship, children - parent relationship, moral values, etc along with cultural activities are carried out. Program is usually conducted in summer.

Annual Day is celebrated from 16th of December to 20th of December every year. On the last day a dinner is organized along with the ex-students of the institute. This is their annual ritual. The objective of ex - student meet is to advice the present batch, off career opportunities and to receive guidance from the seniors in a cordial atmosphere.


Mentorship Program each teacher become a Facilitator for 25 students whereby of parents wants to know the child’s welfare contact Facilitator. Teacher remains Facilitator from entry till exit. To fulfill the concept for better coordinator of institution, Facilitator, parents and student (All over the stake holders). Facilitator visits parents Three times a year to have two way feedbacks.

Sports Activities on alternate days for juniors and seniors between 2.00 am to 3.00 pm. The school boosts of the widest range of sports facilities available nowhere else in this geography. We have Basketball, Volleyball, Kho-Kho, Table-Tennis, Chess, Carrom, Throw ball, Athletics, Badminton, Judo, Cricket, Football, and an in-house swimming pool. The School has produced national and state level players in swimming, judo, chess, football, basketball and kho-kho.
